Andrew Beckham holds an MA in Aesthetic Theory from Prescott College and a BFA in photography and printmaking from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. He has been honored as a Fulbright Fellow, and his work is represented in collections around the country, including the MacArthur Foundation, the Portland Art Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art. Andrew Beckham directs the photography program at St. Mary's Academy in Englewood, Colorado, and is adjunct faculty at Naropa University.

"My artwork combines several different elements, a trenchant political sensibility, a certain irreverence of character, and of course, a sense of humor. My work is occasionally semi-autobiographical, drawn from the urban ethereal experience." Steven Yazzie works in painting, sculpture, video, installation, and mixed media. He is an enrolled member of the Navajo (Dine) Nation and is one of the founding members of Postcommodity, a Contemporary America Indian Arts Collective. Steven was a visiting artist at Prescott College in 2006.

I have started counting laps as years I have lived, and I do as many as my age. One lap is a year, starting from the year I was born. During each lap, I travel to that specific year and time period, think about how old I was, what was going on in the world, what I was up to, where I lived, what I thought about, and the people I met.

Wendy has studied jewelry at Yavapai Community College and is represented by Van Gogh's Ear Gallery in Prescott.

Kathryn Schmidt grew up and was educated in the Midwest. She then lived in New York City for six years before moving to Bozeman, Montana, where she has lived since 1983, raising a daughter with her artist husband. She has worked as adjunct professor of painting at Montana State University and as a preparator at the Museum of the Rockies. She currently works full-time in her studio.

Jim Antonius has been a Glass Blower since 1969, and is an adjunct faculty at Prescott College.

Don Fike has worked as an Art Director, Professional Photographer, Videographer, Graphic Designer, Multi-Media Director, and Writer. He holds a MFA in Fine Art from Arizona State University and a MEd Degree in Education. Don was a visiting instructor at Prescott College in 2006-07, teaching digital and analog Photography.

Katie Baldwin received her MFA from the University of the Arts in 2004. She is a bookbinder and printmaker, often combining her own letterpress text with woodcut images. She has studied traditional techniques of woodblock printing in Japan and has received project funding from the Experimental Printmaking Institute, The Leeway Foundation and The Barbara Deming Foundation. Katie was Prescott College's inaugural artist-in-residence in 2006.

Julie Comnick received her MFA from Montana State University in 2001, and her BA from The Evergreen State College in 1995. She joined the faculty at Prescott College in 2004, and teaches Studio Arts courses in the Arts and Letters program. Her paintings and drawings have been exhibited nationally and featured in publications including New American Paintings and Dialog Magazine, and she is a 2007 recipient of the Arizona Commission on the Arts' Project Grant.

Diane Geoghegan, a 30 year resident of Jerome, Arizona, is continually inspired by dramatic lighting and landscape. Her work has spanned many mediums, including oil and prismacolor, though her recent concentration is in watercolor. Respecting the medium's tendency towards transparent color washes and gradations, she creates accurate yet stylized representations of the landscape that motivated her to move to the Southwest. Diane has achieved signature status in the both the National Watercolor Society and the Arizona Watercolor Association, and her work has been featured in over 15 national shows.

Andie Thrams is a botanical illustrator and book artist. A Forest Field Journal is a reproduction of her own original field journal pages. Andie was a visiting artist at Prescott College in 2006.

Mark Hendrickson received his BA in Visual Arts/Photography from Prescott College.

2001 Graduate of Prescott College in Photography. Currently she is pursuing her MFA at Johnson College. Was a founding member of the Prescott College Student Arts Council She and Courtney Oertel shared the first Frederick and Francis Sommer Fellowship.

Megan Flaherty works predominately in photography, creating psychological works that draw references to pop culture and politics as seen from a subversive and almost unconscious perspective. Megan Flaherty received her BA from Prescott College 2006 with a double competence in Visual Arts/Photography and Cultural Studies. She was the 2005/2006 Frederick and Frances Sommer Fellow. She is currently working as an intern at the Center for Photography at Woodstock.

Iris Cushing received her BA in Interdisciplinary Arts and Letters from Prescott College in 2006, and was the 2006/07 recipient of the Frederick and Frances Sommer Fellowship. She currently lives in Salem, NY and is an intern with Salem Art Works.

"Inspired by Arts and Crafts period designs which may be over a century old, I attempt to resurrect ideas by combining their timelessness and functionality with contemporary elements."

Chandler's work explores the human and natural world through intimate views and subtle connections. She currently lives in Prescott where she teaches photography and manages the Visual Arts Facility at Prescott College.

"I almost always draw from memory, imagination and dreams. Other source material comes from literature. The multiplicity and mutability of the print make it ideal for the creation of a menagerie of images that can be combined and overlapped to build visual narratives and tell stories. I intend to tell my stories using this process of creating and combining printed images."

Lloyd Ziff's photographs have been published in many of the world's most prestigious magazines including Vanity Fair, The New York Times Magazine, Blind Spot, Condé Nast Traveler and Condé Nast Traveller UK, Elle, GQ, Interview, Kid's Wear (Germany), Rolling Stone, and Wired, and have been included in the anthologies American Photography 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, and Graphis Photography. Lloyd Ziff was a visiting artist at Prescott College in 2006.

Stuart Klipper taught photography at Minneapolis College of Art and Design and Colorado College Stuart is an internationally recognized photographer whose work is in the collections of major museums throughout the world. These include the Library of Congress, the National Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Boston Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum. His fellowships and grants have come from the Guggenheim, the National Endowment for the Arts, the McKnight Foundation, the Bush Foundation, and the Minnesota Arts Board.

Marilyn Szabo's first portraits were of herself and family, which were published in 1979, (In/sights: Self-Portraits by Women). Since then she has received numerous grants and awards from public art commissions, international awards, exhibitions and publication. She has been featured in Black and White Magazine and Portfolio. Her work ranges from the intellectual social statement such as the Maria Callas Series to large format cutting edge mixed media images. Marilyn Szabo is represented by the Victoria Boyce Galleries in Scottsdale, AZ.

“I am interested in archetypes and symbols. While many of my paintings are based on particular places or moments, I have also experienced a strong trend toward more surrealistic scenes incorporating hopes and realities beyond the literal.”

Heather grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago.
She attended Prescott College where she received her
Bachelors degree in Photography in 2006. Since then
she has taught photography in upstate New York at a
girl's summer camp and is currently working as a
freelance photographer.

Laura Bloomenstein, Prescott, AZ. Laura received her BFA from Massachusettes College of Art & Design and her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She currently is full time faculty at Yavapai College teaching ceramics and 3D design.
from Masachusetts College of Art. She teaches Ceramics at Yavapai College.
