In the Auction Lots section of the software, we have an Advanced Renumber tool available from the list of Lot Controls on the left. When you click on the Advanced Renumber button, you will be given the choice of three options:
a. Renumber Lot #'s using auto lot number options
b. Renumber Lot #'s starting at 1 and incrementing by 1
c. Flatten Lot Subnumbers starting at ??? lot
a. Renumber Lot #'s using auto lot number options: the setting you have entered into Settings & Options Maintenance under the Auction->Settings Tab will be applied.
c. Flatten Lot Subnumbers starting at ??? lot: this is a great option for those people who would like to insert items in the middle of a lot list. Essentially you can insert lots in particular places by using sub-lots (i.e. 14a, 14b, 16a, 18a, etc...) then choose this option to renumber all lots changing those subnumbers to lot numbers.
