Overview

The find form provides the means to locate specific records based on search criteria.

1. Search Expressions

Search expressions provide multiple tools to find records.

= equals

> greater than

>= greater than or equal to

< less than

<= less than or equal to

<> not equal to

$ contained within

 

2. Fields

The available fields are determined by the calling form. The calling form in this instance is Buyer Maintenance. Fill in only those fields which you wish to search for. Leave irrelevant fields blank.

 

3. Actions

OK - click this button to perform the search.

Cancel - click this button to cancel the search.

+1 Set - adds another set of expressions and fields.

Reset - resets all expressions and fields to their defaults.

Set As Default - click this button to set the current expressions and fields as the default for the related form.

 

4. Multiple Records Found

If a search returns multiple records a list containing matching records will be displayed. If the search finds a single matching record then the record will be automatically navigated to.
