There are a lot of factors that can influence the performance of Auction Flex on various computer installations. The following are a list of guidelines to follow:
| • | Disable hard drive caching on the primary workstation. |
| • | Optimize the primary workstation for background services or file services (depends on OS) if secondary computers are running slowly. |
| • | Always use 100mb or better networking equipment including NIC's, hubs, switches, etc. |
| • | Always ensure that your primary workstation is the "latest and greatest" computer on your network. |
| • | In environments with 4 or more workstations consider getting a dedicated file server with a RAID 1 (mirrored) hard drive array. |
| • | Keep in mind that Auction Flex has built in performance options for certain forms including Clerking & Checking Out. To speed up the clerking screen go to Miscellaneous->Option Maintenance->CLERK tab and set the Performance Tuning options appropriately. |
