Importing Inventory (New Import form)

The new Inventory Import form allows you to easily import items from one spreadsheet to multiple consignors.

 

1.  Create and save you excel spreadsheet.(Tip:  Include lot numbers if you want items imported into an auction.  If there are no lot numbers, items will be imported into inventory, for use in a future auction. )(Tip:  If you include a column for consignor codes, and pre-enter those consignors in Auction Flex, a list of items will be created for each consignor.)

2.  Click the Consignments Drop Down menu and choose Consignment Order Maintenance.   Toolbar.

3.  If you have previously entered the CO use the navigation buttons 4_cnt_Navigation to locate it otherwise click the new button 4_Cmd_New to create a new CO.

4. Click the Import button5_cmd_Import from the Inventory Controls section.

5.  Assuming you have already created your excel spreadsheet with your inventory, click the ellipses button 5_cmd_PathButton to locate your file. (note:  If your inventory is not on the first worksheet, type in the name of the worksheet in sheet name.)

 

6.  Click the "Step 2" tab.  Double click each field in the order that it occurs on your spreadsheet.5_pag_ImportInventorystep2

7.  Click the "Step 3" tab.  If your spreadsheet has headings check the "Skip First Row When Importing" checkbox.  Click the "View Selected File" button to verify that your fields are correctly matched.5_pagImportInventoryStep3

8.  Click the "Step 4" tab.  Since we included lot numbers we will choose the auction that the items will be imported to.  If you did not include lot numbers, the items will be imported into inventory for future allocation to a future auction.

 

9.  Click the "Step 5" tab.  Click the "Import Inventory" button.
