Use the Auction Flex Duplicate Buyers Tool to keep your buyer database clean and free from duplicate records. There are two ways of using this tool.
Using the Tool to check you entire buyer database for duplicates.
1. Go to the Miscellaneous drop down menu at the top of Auction Flex. Select the Settings and Options Screen.
Once in Settings and options go to the Buyer tab, and hit the Buyer Duplicate Analysis Tool. When the tool screen comes up hit the Start button on the lower left hand corner. Auction Flex will then go through your buyer database looking for duplicate records. When it finds a duplicate the software will present both records to you, allowing you to select the best information from each.
Now that you have selected the best information from both records, simply hit the Yes These Records Are Duplicates button and Auction Flex will continue to scan your buyer database.
2. Use the Duplicate Checker during Buyer Check in to scan your database for potential Duplicate buyers.
Go to the Miscellaneous drop down menu at the top of the software to the Settings and Options screen. Select the Check In Tab.
Check the Option "Perform Duplicate Buyer Record Check on Buyer Check In.
During Check In for your Auctions if a duplicate record is found the following message will pop up
Hit OK and Auction Flex will scan your database for any matching buyer records.
