1. Click on the Buyer Check-In Button 4_cmd_BuyerCheckin from the Navigator or the Navigator Toolbar.

2. Use the Navigation buttons 4_cnt_Navigation to locate the desired auction.

3. If you would like the system to automatically assign bid card numbers then check the AutoNumber Bid Cards? check box 4_chk_autonumberbidcards.

4. From here you have several options depending on your situation:

To check in existing buyers or to find out if someone is already an existing buyer use the QUICK CHECK-IN buttons 4_cnt_QuickCheckin. If any of the quick check-in buttons fails to find a buyer you will be prompted if you would like to add them.
4_cmd_QuickCheckInByName quickly check-in buyers by first, last, or company name (full or partial).
4_cmd_QuickCheckInByPhone quickly check-in buyers by full or partial phone number (last 4 digits, last 7 digits, etc.).
4_cmd_QuickCheckInByReserved quickly check-in buyers by their reserved bid card number.
4_cmd_QuickCheckInByDL quickly check-in buyers by swiping their driver's license through a magnetic stripe reader. Additionally if the buyer is not found you can elect to create the buyer and the system will automatically extract the buyer's information from their driver's license.
4_cmd_QuickCheckInByID quickly check-in buyers by their ID. The ID field is most commonly used when an auction house has distributed buyer ID cards with bar codes or magnetic stripes.
4_cmd_QuickCheckInAltBidders quickly check-in all buyers with Alternate Bids (Absentee Bids or Phone Bids) for this auction.
4_cmd_QuickCheckInHistory quickly check-in all registered buyers from a previous auction.

To check in a buyer that you know is new click the New button 4_cmd_CheckInNew from Auction Buyer Controls.

To check in an existing buyer using the Buyer Maintenance form click the Exist. button 4_cmd_CheckInExist from Auction Buyer Controls. This method is slower than using the Quick Check-In buttons but is more flexible.
