Buyer Charges

Auction Flex supports buyer charges that are automatically applied at checkout based on a specific lot, a specific inventory type, or, for all lots in the auction. Additionally there are up to three levels of charges that can be applied hierarchically (only one per lot), or cumulatively (all matching charges are applied).

 

1. Click on the Auction Maintenance button 4_Cmd_AuctionMaintenance from the Navigator or the Navigator Toolbar.

 

2. If you have previously entered the desired auction use the navigation buttons 4_Cnt_Navigation to find the auction otherwise click on the New button 4_Cmd_New to create a new auction.

 

3. Click on the Buyer Charges tab 4_pag_BuyerCharges.

 

4. From here you should see this:

Buyer Charges Mode Tab - defines which mode you would like buyer charges to be applied in.
Charges by Auction Tab - used to define buyer charges that will be applied to every lot that is sold at this auction.

This type of buyer charge is useful when the auctioneer wants to apply a charge to all the lots that are sold at this auction.

Charges by Inventory Type Tab - used to define buyer charges that are specific to an Inventory Type.

This type of buyer charges is often used at auctions where there are automobiles and the auctioneer wishes to apply a "title fee" to each vehicle that is sold.
